Amazing.com was honored to have Sir Richard Branson speak at ASM 4 Live Event in February 2015. His entrepreneurial insight and giving spirit were nothing short of inspirational for us and our ASM students. After posting about Liat’s exciting opportunity to ask Sir Richard Branson a question on stage at Live Event, another two ASM students reached out to us in the blog comments about their chance meeting with him in the following message:
Thanks for your post! After Liat was so fortunate to meet Richard up on stage at the Live Event, my business partner Jack Rhea and I went to lunch at Morels French Steakhouse in the Palazzo Hotel. We chose a quiet table at the far end of the outdoor patio where nobody else was seated, better suited for discussing our business and all the exciting things that occurred earlier in the day at the Live Event.Not long after we were seated, Sir Richard Branson of all people walked in and was seated at the table right next to ours. Talk about almost fainting!!! Once seated at his own table, Richard noticed Jack and I drooling all over our tablecloth, and of course the Live Event badges we were still wearing ? at which point Richard said “Hi”, asked us about our business… even offered to buy us a drink!!!We talked for a bit ? thanked him for coming ? and at the end of our meal wished him safe travels. The whole experience was totally unexpected and pretty surreal to say the least. Liat’s story seemed to offer a great opportunity for us to let everyone at Amazing.com know about our unscheduled lunch with Richard ? which actually did make us a little late getting back to the Live Event afternoon session ? but hey, it?s not every day you get to lunch with a Billionaire ? nor that an inspiration such as Richard happens along and offers to buy you a drink!!!It really was pretty cool to say the least and just one of many great takeaways from our truly amazing, ASM4 Live Event experience!!!! You really never do know who you?re going to meet at a Live Event ? definitely a worthwhile experience all around!!!Sincerely,
