For the curious, here is what a Nipa hut looks like.
The walls and floors are made out of bamboo. The bamboo walls are slightly apart so a little light gets in, and the floor is made of bamboo as well. The bamboo is spaced apart so that wastes fall down to the water beneath. This is meant to ward away insects, who will have little to feed on.

But I can't say a nipa hut is Filiina charm. It could be Filiino charm? Who knows?
